About homes in Queenstown
Singapore's first satellite town, still being renewed
Queenstown was the country's first satellite town. Its earliest flats were built in the 1950s and 1960s, first by the Singapore Improvement Trust and then by HDB, around Commonwealth, Tanglin Halt and Mei Ling. Since then, large parts of the estate have been rebuilt, so tall new blocks around Dawson stand a short walk from walk-ups that are more than half a century old.
That spread shapes the work. Older units tend to need the basics put right: sanitary pipes and fittings that have corroded, original switches and sockets, and doors that have warped over decades. In the newer blocks, owners usually call us to fit things rather than fix them, such as lights, shelves and curtains for a home they have just collected keys for.
Wherever you are in Queenstown, we look first, price second, and only start once you have said yes.

Town council or us?
Who fixes what in Queenstown
Queenstown is mostly HDB, with some private condos. In an HDB block, report common-area faults such as lifts, corridor lights and roof leaks to the town council's 24-hour EMSU (the number is on your lift-lobby board). Condo residents go through their management office. Repairs inside your unit are the owner's to arrange, and those are the ones we take on.
Your town council or condo management
- Corridor and staircase lights
- Lifts and lift lobbies
- Common water pipes, sanitary stacks and roof leaks
- Common-area drains and refuse chutes
HDB estates: report these to your town council's 24-hour Essential Maintenance Service Unit (EMSU); its number is on the lift-lobby notice board. Condos: the management office.

Queenstown FAQs
No. There is no area surcharge anywhere in Singapore, Queenstown included. You pay the same starting prices listed on our service pages, and the final price is agreed before we begin.
For most taps, valves, switches and hinges, yes; we fit current parts that suit the old fittings. Where something no longer matches, we tell you on WhatsApp and price the closest replacement before any work.
Lights, curtain tracks, shelves, mirrors, TV brackets and bathroom accessories are common first jobs. Send us the list and photos, and we will price each item before booking a slot.
HDB treats the slab between two flats as shared, so the upper and lower owners split that repair. Roof and external-wall leaks go to the town council. If the water is coming from a pipe inside your own flat, we can find and fix it.
