What the team does

The technician checks every hinge on the door, because a single failed hinge usually means the others are under strain. The door is supported while the old hinges are removed. New hinges of the same size are fitted into the existing recesses, so no new cutting is needed, and the screws go into solid timber. The door is then adjusted, rehung and tested so it swings freely and closes square.

Limits & price factors

The price covers standard butt hinges on one door. Heavy doors that need ball-bearing or extra hinges, hinges that need new recesses, and stripped screw holes that must be filled first take longer. Hinges can be supplied, or you can buy matching ones in advance.
