What the team does

The technician checks the handle, spindle and latch, because a drooping lever can be a worn spring in the handle or a broken latch inside the door. The old handle is removed, the spindle length is checked against the door thickness, and the new handle is fitted and aligned with the latch. The handle is then tested from both sides so it returns to level and the latch moves cleanly.

Limits & price factors

The handle is charged on top of the labour price. A worn latch or lock body is a separate repair, and new holes for a handle with a different backplate size may leave old marks to fill.

The price covers one standard lever handle on an existing latch. Handles with a different screw pattern, fire doors with special hardware and doors that need the latch replaced as well take longer. If you have bought the handle already, tell us the model when you book.
