What the team does

The technician checks the frame for splits, loose fixings and soft timber. Split timber around hinges and strike plates is glued and clamped or reinforced, and stripped screw holes are filled so screws hold again. A loose frame is re-fixed to the wall. Broken door stops are refitted or replaced. The door is then rehung and tested. Where the timber is rotten, the damaged section is shown to you and repair or replacement is discussed before continuing.
