Fix a Running Toilet in Singapore

A toilet that keeps running or refilling is fixed from $70 at SG QuickFix, usually in 30 to 60 minutes. The cause is almost always one of three things: a worn or dirty flush valve seal, a fill valve that doesn't shut off, or a flush button that sticks. The cause is found first, and any new part is charged separately.

Task guide

When this may be needed

  • Water trickles into the bowl all the time.
  • The cistern refills by itself every few minutes.
  • You can hear water running long after flushing.
  • The flush button stays down.
  • Your water bill has gone up without explanation.

What the team does

The technician checks whether water is going over the overflow, which points to the fill valve, or under the seal, which points to the flush valve. The button linkage is checked for sticking. Grit is cleaned from the seal, the float is adjusted, or the button rods are reset. If a valve is worn out, its replacement price is confirmed before it is fitted. The cistern is then tested over several flushes.

Included in this price

  • Finding which part is causing the running
  • Cleaning seals and adjusting the float or button
  • Testing over several flushes
  • A confirmed price for any part that needs replacing

Limits & price factors

Replacement fill valves and flush valves are charged as parts, with their own labour prices if a full replacement is needed. Concealed cisterns with brand-specific parts may need the part ordered.

The price starts from $70. If the flush valve or fill valve has to be replaced, the job is priced as that replacement instead.
