Toilet Hose Replacement in Singapore

Toilet hose replacement starts from $60 in labour at SG QuickFix, with the hose charged separately. The flexible hose between the angle valve and the cistern can leak at its ends, rust or bulge, and is a common cause of water on the floor beside the toilet. Replacing it takes about 20 to 30 minutes.

Task guide

When this may be needed

  • There is a puddle beside the toilet that comes back after wiping.
  • The hose is rusty or the braiding has frayed.
  • A joint drips where the hose meets the cistern or the valve.
  • The hose bulges or is kinked.
  • The hose is too short after a cistern was changed.

What the team does

The technician closes the angle valve, flushes to empty the cistern and disconnects the old hose. Its length and thread sizes are checked so the new hose fits without stretching or kinking. The new hose is fitted with fresh washers, tightened firmly, and the valve is opened. The cistern is refilled and both ends are checked for leaks, and the floor is dried so any new drip would show.

Included in this price

  • Isolating the water and emptying the cistern
  • Removing the old hose
  • Fitting a hose of the right length and threads
  • Leak-testing both ends

Limits & price factors

The hose is charged on top of labour. A leaking angle valve, cracked cistern or bowl seal are separate repairs.

The labour price covers one hose. Concealed cisterns and corroded valve threads take longer.
