Toilet Leak Diagnosis in Singapore

Toilet leak diagnosis starts from $80 at SG QuickFix. Water on the floor around a toilet can come from the supply hose, the cistern, the seal between the cistern and bowl, a hairline crack, or the seal where the bowl meets the waste pipe. The source is traced before any part is replaced, usually in 30 to 45 minutes.

Task guide

When this may be needed

  • A puddle appears around the base of the toilet.
  • The floor tiles around the toilet are stained or loose.
  • There is a smell around the base of the bowl.
  • The downstairs neighbour reports a ceiling stain under your toilet.
  • The toilet rocks slightly when sat on.

What the team does

The technician dries the area and checks each source in turn: the angle valve and hose, the cistern's inlet and outlet seals, the cistern-to-bowl bolts, the bowl's surface for cracks, and the base seal. Colour can be added to the cistern to see where water appears. Once the source is found, you are told the fix and its price before any repair. Simple fixes, such as tightening a joint, are done during the visit.

Included in this price

  • Drying and checking each possible source
  • Colour tests on the cistern
  • Tightening loose joints found during the check
  • A confirmed repair price for the source found

Limits & price factors

Replacement parts and repairs beyond simple tightening are charged separately. Leaks in concealed pipes in the floor or wall are covered under Water Leak Repair, and ceiling leaks between flats follow HDB's ceiling leak process.

The price starts from $80. Concealed cisterns and toilets with tiled-in bases take longer to check.
