Task guide
When this may be needed
- The toilet bowl or cistern is cracked.
- The bowl is stained beyond cleaning.
- The toilet leaks at the base even after the seal was redone.
- Parts for the old cistern are no longer available.
- You are preparing a flat for rental or sale.
What the team does
Before the visit, the outlet type (floor or wall) and the distance from the wall to the outlet are checked from photos, because the new bowl must match them. On site, the water is shut off and the old bowl and cistern are removed. The new bowl is set on a new seal, levelled and fixed, the cistern is fitted and connected to the supply, and the base is sealed. The toilet is flushed several times and checked for leaks at the supply, cistern and base.
Included in this price
- A basic toilet bowl and cistern
- Checking the outlet type and distance beforehand
- Removing the old bowl and fitting the new one on a new seal
- Connecting, sealing and leak-testing
Limits & price factors
Disposal of the old bowl may be charged separately. Relocating the toilet, changing the outlet type, replacing floor tiles and premium or wall-hung toilets are not included.
The $300 starting price covers a basic bowl that suits the existing outlet. Damaged floor around the outlet, a non-standard outlet distance and seized fixings can change the price, which is confirmed first.
