Toilet Flush Valve Replacement in Singapore

Toilet flush valve replacement starts from $90 in labour at SG QuickFix, with the new valve charged separately. The flush valve, or outlet valve, releases water into the bowl when you flush and seals the cistern afterwards. When its seal wears, water trickles into the bowl all day. Replacing it takes about 45 to 60 minutes.

Task guide

When this may be needed

  • Water trickles into the bowl constantly.
  • The cistern refills by itself every so often without a flush.
  • A food-colouring test shows colour in the bowl.
  • The flush is weak or stops early.
  • The valve's seal is cracked or covered in scale.

What the team does

The technician shuts off the water, empties the cistern and checks the flush valve seal. Grit on the seal can sometimes be cleaned off; a worn or hardened seal means a new valve. On most close-coupled toilets the cistern is lifted off the bowl to change the valve, so new cistern-to-bowl seals are fitted at the same time. The new valve is fitted, connected to the button and tested with a colour test after refilling.

Included in this price

  • Checking whether cleaning or replacement is needed
  • Removing the old flush valve
  • Fitting the new valve and cistern seals
  • Button setup and a colour test for leaks

Limits & price factors

The valve is charged on top of labour. A cracked cistern, fill valve faults and bowl replacements are separate.

The labour price starts from $90. Close-coupled cisterns that must be lifted off, concealed cisterns and brand-specific valves take longer.
