What the team does
Before the visit, the tank position, its weight when full, and the existing hot and cold pipework are checked. On site, the tank is mounted on brackets or a platform able to carry its full weight, connected to the cold supply and the hot water outlet, and fitted with the pressure relief valve that should come with it. The tank is filled completely and checked for leaks before power is switched on, then tested at each hot water point.

Limits & price factors
The heater is not included unless agreed. New hot water pipe runs, which are regulated work for a PUB-licensed plumber, new electrical points by a licensed electrical worker, and ceiling openings are not included.
The labour price starts from $300. Tanks in ceiling spaces, larger tanks and positions needing new brackets in concrete take longer.
