A new instant water heater installation starts from $180 in labour at SG QuickFix, for a bathroom that doesn't have one yet or a heater moving to a new position. The heater is mounted, connected to the water supply at the shower, and tested, usually in 1.5 to 2.5 hours. The electrical point needs a licensed electrical worker if one doesn't exist.

What the team does
Before the visit, the position, the water pipe connection and the electrical point are checked from photos. On site, the heater is mounted level near the shower, with its inlet connected to the supply and its outlet to the shower mixer. If a suitable double pole switch and point already exist, the heater is connected; if not, a licensed electrical worker is needed for the new point. The heater is filled before power is switched on and tested at the shower.
