What the team does
The technician removes the bottle trap, unscrews the waste's back nut and lifts the old waste out. The outlet is cleaned of old sealant, the new waste is set with its seals, and slotted wastes are lined up with the basin's overflow so it still drains. The back nut is tightened and the trap refitted. The basin is filled, the plug tested, and the waste and trap checked for leaks.
