Lock Replacement
Digital Lock Installation in Singapore
Digital lock installation on an existing door starts from $120 at SG QuickFix, for a lock that fits the door's existing cut-out and thickness. Most installations take one to two hours. On HDB and other fire-rated main doors, SCDF requires digital locks installed since 1 March 2024 to be certified for fire resistance, so check the lock's certificate before buying.

What the team does
Before the visit, the lock model is checked against your door from photos: door thickness, the existing cut-out and the handle direction. On site, the old lock is removed, the digital lock's mortise body and front and back panels are fitted, and the strike plate is aligned. Batteries are installed, and the lock is set up with you: master code, user codes and cards or fingerprints. It is tested with the door closer in place, from inside and outside.
Included in this price
- A pre-visit check of the lock model against your door
- Removing the old lock
- Fitting the digital lock and aligning the strike plate
- Setting up codes, cards or fingerprints with you, and testing
Limits & price factors
The digital lock is not included. Doors that need a bigger cut-out, new holes or a reinforcement plate are priced as Digital lock requiring modification, from $160. Locks under warranty with a fault should go back to their brand.
The $120 starting price assumes the lock fits the existing cut-out and the door thickness. Gate locks, rim locks for gates, and doors with thick or metal skins can take longer. If the lock turns out to need modification on site, the price is confirmed before any cutting.
