Tap Repair & Replacement
Tap Flexible Hose Replacement in Singapore
Replacing a flexible tap hose starts from $60 in labour at SG QuickFix, with the hose charged separately. The braided hose that connects a sink or basin tap to the angle valve can leak at its ends, rust, or bulge before it bursts. Replacing it takes about 20 to 30 minutes, and PUB lists it as simple plumbing work.

Task guide
When this may be needed
- Water collects in the cabinet under the sink.
- The braided hose is rusty or discoloured.
- The hose bulges or has a kink.
- A joint drips where the hose meets the angle valve.
- The hose is too short for a new tap.
What the team does
The technician closes the angle valve and drains the tap. The old hose is disconnected at both ends and the length and thread sizes are checked so the new hose fits without stretching or kinking. The new hose is fitted with its washers, tightened to a firm fit without over-tightening, and the water is turned back on. Both ends are checked for leaks and the cabinet is dried.
Included in this price
- Isolating the water at the angle valve
- Removing the old hose
- Fitting a hose of the right length and threads
- Leak-testing both ends
Limits & price factors
The hose is charged on top of labour. A leaking angle valve is replaced under Angle valve replacement, and a leaking tap body under a tap task.
The labour price covers one hose. Taps in tight vanity cabinets and hoses fixed into the tap body that need the tap removed take longer.
FAQs
There is no fixed interval, but rust, bulges, kinks and damp ends are signs to replace one before it bursts.
No. PUB lists replacing a flexible hose connected to a tap as simple plumbing work.
A washer may not be seated, the thread is the wrong size, or the nut is over-tightened and the washer is crushed. Reseating it usually fixes the leak.
At SG QuickFix, flexible hose replacement starts from $60, plus the hose.
