Tap Repair & Replacement
Angle Valve Replacement in Singapore
Angle valve replacement starts from $70 in labour at SG QuickFix, with the new valve charged separately. The angle valve is the small shut-off valve under a sink or beside a toilet that lets that one fitting be isolated. A valve that leaks, drips from its spindle, has seized or has corroded is replaced in about 30 to 45 minutes.

Task guide
When this may be needed
- Water drips from the angle valve or its spindle under the sink.
- The valve handle won't turn, so the tap can't be isolated.
- The valve is green or white with corrosion and limescale.
- The valve won't shut off fully when closed.
- A new tap or toilet is being fitted and the old valve is worn.
What the team does
The technician shuts off the water at the stopcock by the PUB water meter, since the angle valve itself can't be used to isolate. The flexible hose is disconnected and the old valve unscrewed from the wall fitting. The thread is cleaned and sealed, the new valve is fitted and aligned, and the hose reconnected. The water is turned back on and the valve, its connections and the tap are checked for leaks, with the valve opened and closed to confirm it isolates.
Included in this price
- Shutting off the water at the meter stopcock
- Removing the old valve and cleaning the thread
- Fitting and sealing the new valve
- Reconnecting the hose and leak-testing
Limits & price factors
The valve is charged on top of labour, and the flexible hose too if it needs replacing. Repairs to the pipe inside the wall, and rerouting or adding supply pipes, are water service work for a PUB-licensed plumber and are not included.
The labour price covers one standard angle valve. A valve seized into an old or galvanised fitting, a corroded thread, and valves behind a cabinet with little access take longer.
FAQs
It is the small valve on the supply pipe under a sink or beside a toilet. It lets you turn off the water to that one fitting without shutting off the whole home.
The spindle seal has worn, the thread joint has failed, or the valve body has corroded. Replacing the valve is usually better than repairing it.
Close the stopcock at your PUB water meter. It shuts off water to the whole home.
PUB requires laying, altering or repairing water supply pipes to be done by a PUB-licensed plumber. You can check any plumber's licence with PUB's licensed plumber search.
