What the team does
The technician compares the flow at the shower with other taps in the home to tell a local problem from a supply problem. The shower head and hose are checked for scale and kinks, the angle and stop valves for being partly closed, and the mixer for a worn or clogged cartridge. With an instant heater, its flow restrictor and filter are checked. Simple causes such as a scaled head or a half-closed valve are fixed on the spot, and anything needing a part is priced first.
