Task guide
When this may be needed
- A full-length mirror is leaning against the wall and could fall.
- A heavy framed mirror has only a thin wire on the back.
- A frameless mirror needs clips or a channel.
- The mirror is going on a drywall partition.
- The mirror has been delivered without any hanging hardware.
What the team does
The technician weighs up the mirror's size, weight and backing, and the wall. A French cleat or two strong fixing points are used for framed mirrors; clips or a channel for frameless glass. The position is marked with you, the wall is checked for concealed wiring, and the fixings are installed with anchors rated above the mirror's weight. The mirror is lifted on, levelled and checked so it can't lift off its fixings.

Not for a heavy mirror. Wires stretch and a single hook point lets the mirror tilt. A cleat or two fixing points is much more secure.
Usually, with heavy-duty drywall anchors spread across several points. HDB says BTO drywall can support common fixtures with appropriate anchors.
That depends on the door's material and hinges. A mirror adds weight that can make a door sag, so the door and hinges are checked first.
