What the team does

The technician checks the wall type and the intended load, because a floating shelf levers its weight onto hidden rods and puts more strain on the wall than a bracket shelf. The bracket is marked and levelled, the wall is checked for concealed wiring, and the bracket is fixed with anchors suited to concrete, brick, drywall or Ferrolite. The shelf is slid on and secured with its fixing screws, then checked for level and droop.
