Curtain & Blind Installation
Ceiling-Mounted Curtain Track Installation in Singapore
A ceiling-mounted curtain track is installed from $70 at SG QuickFix. Fixing the track to the ceiling lets curtains hang from ceiling to floor, which makes a room look taller and blocks more light at the top. Tracks are fixed into the concrete slab, or into a timber batten in a false ceiling, never into the ceiling board alone.

Task guide
When this may be needed
- You want floor-to-ceiling curtains with no gap at the top.
- There is no wall space above the window for brackets.
- The window sits right under a beam or the ceiling line.
- A condo unit has a false ceiling or a curtain pelmet.
- Blackout curtains let light through above the rod.
What the team does
The technician checks what the ceiling is: a concrete slab in most HDB flats, or a false ceiling in many condos. In a false ceiling, a timber batten is located to fix to, or the fixings are taken through to the slab above. The track is cut to length, the fixing points are marked in a straight line parallel to the window, and the track is fixed, levelled and loaded with its gliders. The curtains are hung and run along the track to test.
Included in this price
- Checking the ceiling type and fixing points
- Marking a straight line parallel to the window
- Fixing and levelling the track
- Fitting gliders and testing with the curtains
Limits & price factors
The track and curtains are not included. Building a batten or pelmet into a false ceiling, and motorised tracks, are quoted separately.
The price starts from $70 for the first ceiling track. False ceilings without a batten, long or bay-window tracks, and high ceilings needing special access take longer. Additional tracks in the same visit cost less.
FAQs
Only into something solid. A false ceiling board alone can't hold a loaded track, so the track is fixed into a timber batten in the ceiling or through to the slab above. If there is no batten, wall brackets may be better.
Ceiling tracks let curtains run from ceiling to floor, which blocks more light, looks taller and suits windows with no space above them.
At SG QuickFix, a ceiling-mounted curtain track starts from $70.
Use a double track, or two tracks side by side. Each layer runs on its own gliders.
