When this may be needed

• A new LED ceiling light is replacing an old fluorescent fitting.
• A new flat has bare light points with no fittings.
• The old fitting has yellowed or its cover is cracked.
• The light point is off-centre for the new fitting's base.
• A bigger fitting needs a sturdier fixing.

What the team does

The technician isolates the lighting circuit, removes the old fitting and checks the cable and terminal connections. The new fitting's base is fixed to the concrete slab with suitable anchors, or to a batten if it is in a false ceiling. The light is connected, its cover fitted, and it is tested from its switch. Old fittings are taken down and left for you or disposed of if agreed.
