RCCB Replacement in Singapore
RCCB or RCD replacement starts from $180 at SG QuickFix. The RCCB protects people from electric shock by tripping when current leaks to earth. One that won't trip when its test button is pressed, or trips constantly with no fault on the circuits, is replaced in about 45 to 60 minutes. All homes in Singapore have had to have an RCCB since 1 July 2023.

Task guide
When this may be needed
- The RCCB doesn't trip when the test button is pressed.
- The RCCB trips even with every circuit switched off.
- The RCCB won't reset.
- The home has no RCCB.
- The RCCB is old, discoloured or damaged.
What the team does
The technician tests the RCCB and the circuits it protects, to confirm the RCCB itself is faulty rather than a circuit. With the supply isolated, the old RCCB is replaced with one of the correct rating and sensitivity, connected firmly, and test-tripped with its button and checked. Circuits are restored one by one.
Included in this price

- Fitting an RCCB of the correct rating
- Test-tripping and checking
- Restoring circuits one by one
Limits & price factors
Circuit faults causing the trips are priced separately. Boards with no space for an RCCB may need a board replacement.
The price starts from $180. Older boards needing compatible parts, and boards with no RCCB at all, take longer.
