DB Box Troubleshooting in Singapore

Distribution board troubleshooting starts from $100 at SG QuickFix. When breakers trip and won't reset, the DB box hums or smells warm, or circuits are dead with no breaker tripped, the board's breakers, connections and busbar are checked to find the cause. Most checks take 30 to 60 minutes, and the repair is priced before work.

Task guide

When this may be needed

  • A breaker trips and won't reset.
  • The DB box hums, buzzes or feels warm.
  • A circuit is dead but no breaker has tripped.
  • The RCCB's test button doesn't trip it.
  • The main switch trips without any obvious cause.

What the team does

The technician checks whether the problem is the board or a circuit: a circuit fault follows the circuit, while a board fault stays with the breaker or busbar. Each breaker is tested, connections are checked for looseness and heat damage, and the RCCB is tested. Loose connections are tightened on the spot. Failed breakers or damaged parts are identified and priced.

Included in this price

  • Testing the RCCB and suspect breakers
  • Tightening loose connections
