Task guide
When this may be needed
- The home still has an old fuse-type board.
- The board has no RCCB.
- The enclosure is cracked, rusted or heat-damaged.
- There is no space for an extra circuit.
- The board was installed decades ago with the original wiring.
What the team does
The technician surveys the existing circuits and the incoming supply, and plans the new board's layout with a breaker for each circuit and RCCB protection. With the main supply off, the old board is removed, the new enclosure is mounted, and each circuit is connected to its new breaker. Every circuit is tested, the RCCB is test-tripped, and the board is labelled before power is restored.
Included in this price

Limits & price factors
Rewiring circuits outside the board, increasing the home's electrical loading, faults in SP Group's supply and HDB permit applications are not included.
The price starts from $450. More circuits, RCBOs instead of MCBs and repairs to circuits found faulty during testing add to the price, which is confirmed after the survey.
