Circuit Breaker / DB Services
DB Box Rewiring in Singapore
A DB rewire starts from $300 at SG QuickFix. The wiring inside the distribution board is redone neatly: connections remade, overheated or undersized links replaced, and every circuit labelled, while the existing enclosure and incoming supply stay. It suits boards that have been modified over the years or show signs of heat, and takes about three to five hours.

Task guide
When this may be needed
- The inside of the DB box is a tangle of added wires.
- Wires or terminals show discolouration from heat.
- Nobody knows which breaker controls which circuit.
- Previous additions were connected without proper terminals.
- The board buzzes or smells warm.
What the team does
The technician switches off the main supply and documents each circuit before disconnecting anything. The internal wiring is removed and redone with correct cable sizes, proper terminals and neat routing, and heat-damaged links and busbars are replaced. Each circuit is reconnected to its breaker, tested and labelled. The board is closed, power is restored circuit by circuit, and every circuit is checked.
Included in this price

- Redoing internal DB wiring with proper terminals
- Replacing heat-damaged links
- Testing and labelling every circuit
Limits & price factors

FAQs
A rewire redoes the wiring inside the existing board. A replacement swaps the whole board, including its enclosure and breakers.
Loose or undersized connections overheat under load. Warmth, buzzing or a burning smell should be checked promptly.
Yes, for most of the job, since the main supply has to be off. Plan for several hours without power.
Work on the distribution board is electrical installation work, which Singapore's regulations require a licensed electrical worker to carry out.
