Wall Repair / Patching

Wall Crack Filling in Singapore

Minor wall crack filling starts from $80 at SG QuickFix. Hairline and shrinkage cracks in plaster or paint are opened slightly, filled with a flexible filler so they are less likely to reopen, and sanded smooth. Most cracks take one to two hours. HDB recommends sealing hairline cracks with flexible sealant or elastomeric paint.

Task guide

When this may be needed

  • Hairline cracks have appeared across a wall or above a door frame.
  • Cracks run along the joint between a partition and a concrete wall.
  • Paint has cracked where filler was used before.
  • A crack has reopened after a previous repair.
  • You are preparing walls before repainting.

What the team does

The technician checks the crack first: its width, direction and whether there are water stains, because a crack that keeps widening or shows damp needs assessment rather than filler. Cosmetic cracks are opened slightly so the filler can grip, dust is removed, and a flexible filler is applied and smoothed. Joints between different wall materials get a flexible sealant, since they move slightly. Once dry, the area is sanded and left ready to paint.

Included in this price
