Wall Repair / Patching
Large Plaster Damage Repair in Singapore
Large areas of damaged plaster are repaired after a photo or site quote at SG QuickFix, because the true size of the damage only shows once loose plaster is tapped out. Hollow, bulging, cracked or fallen plaster is removed back to a sound edge, the wall is patched and smoothed, and it is left ready to paint or touch-up painted if booked.

Task guide
When this may be needed
- Plaster sounds hollow when tapped and has started bulging.
- A patch of plaster has fallen off after impact or water damage.
- A wall was damaged when built-in carpentry was removed.
- Plaster has softened from a past leak that has since been fixed.
- Old renovation damage was never made good.
What the team does
From photos, the technician gives an indicative price, then confirms it on site by tapping around the damage to find where the plaster is still bonded. Loose and hollow plaster is removed back to a firm edge and the surface is cleaned and primed. The area is built up in layers, each left to set, then smoothed to match the surrounding wall. Larger areas may need a second visit for the final coat and painting.
Included in this price

- Priming and building up the area in layers

Limits & price factors
Finding and fixing the leak that caused water damage, ceiling leaks between flats, spalling concrete with exposed steel, structural cracks and whole-room repainting are not included.
The price depends on the area, how deep the damage goes and whether touch-up painting is included. Damage on ceilings, high walls and near wet areas takes longer, and large areas may need two visits.
FAQs
Hollow plaster often extends beyond what is visible, so the size of the repair is only clear once the area is tapped. Photos give a first estimate, confirmed on site.
Yes. Plaster damaged by water will fail again if the leak continues. A ceiling leak from the flat above follows HDB's ceiling leak process, in which neighbours arrange the repair together.
Usually not; most plaster cracks are in the finish. Cracks that keep widening, run diagonally from doors or windows, or show rust stains should be checked by a specialist before patching.
HDB says owners maintain the finishes inside their flat. The town council maintains common areas and external walls.
