TV Mounting

Mount a 44–55 Inch TV in Singapore

Mounting a 44 to 55 inch TV starts from $80 at SG QuickFix, and installing a bracket you have already bought is included. This is the most common size for bedrooms and smaller living rooms. A fixed or tilt bracket on a concrete wall takes about 45 to 60 minutes; swing-arm brackets and partition walls take a little longer.

Task guide

When this may be needed

  • A new 50 or 55 inch TV is replacing an old TV on a console.
  • You want the TV on a swing arm so it can turn towards the dining area.
  • The TV wall is a BTO drywall partition.
  • You are unsure how high the screen should be.
  • The bracket that came with the TV doesn't match the wall.

What the team does

The technician checks that the bracket matches the TV's VESA hole pattern and weight rating, and identifies the wall type. The height is marked with you, usually with the middle of the screen near seated eye level, and the wall is checked for concealed wiring before drilling. The bracket is fixed with anchors suited to the wall, levelled, and the TV is hung and locked onto the bracket.

Included in this price

  • Checking the bracket against the TV and the wall
  • Marking the height with you and checking for concealed wiring
  • Fixing and levelling the bracket
  • Hanging and securing the TV

Limits & price factors

Cable management (+$20), removing an existing mounted TV (+$30) and tile or marble walls (+$40 to $60) are add-ons. A bracket supplied by SG QuickFix is quoted by type. Power points behind the TV are electrical work under Power Socket Installation.

The $80 price covers a standard fixed or tilt bracket on a concrete, brick or drywall partition. Swing-arm brackets need a stronger fixing because the arm levers the TV's weight away from the wall, which takes longer.
