Furniture Dismantling and Reassembly in Singapore

Dismantling and reassembly starts from $100 per item at SG QuickFix. Wardrobes, beds, desks and cabinets are taken apart for a house move or a renovation, their fixings are bagged and labelled, and they are rebuilt and adjusted in the new room. Timing depends on the item.

Task guide

When this may be needed

  • You are moving to a new flat and the wardrobe won't fit through the door in one piece.
  • A renovation needs a room cleared, then furnished again.
  • A bed must move to another room up a narrow staircase.
  • Furniture assembled by a previous owner has no instructions.
  • Flat-pack furniture is wobbly after a previous move and needs rebuilding properly.

What the team does

The technician dismantles the item in the reverse order of assembly, so the cam locks and dowels are not damaged. Fixings for each item are bagged and labelled, and panels are kept together. Once the furniture has been moved, it is reassembled in the new room, squared and, for tall items, fixed to the wall again. Doors and drawers are re-aligned, because they usually need adjusting after a move.

Included in this price

  • Dismantling the item without damaging its joints
  • Bagging and labelling fixings
  • Reassembling, squaring and re-anchoring tall items
  • Re-aligning doors and drawers

Limits & price factors

Moving or transporting the furniture is not included. Replacement parts for damaged panels, and new wall anchors in the new home, are charged if needed.

The $100 starting price covers a standard item. Large wardrobes, beds with storage and items with many doors and drawers take longer. If reassembly is on a different day or at another address, tell us when booking.
