When this may be needed
- A work-from-home desk needs to be ready before Monday.
- An electric standing desk has a frame, motors and a control box to connect.
- A desk with drawers has runners that need aligning.
- A table wobbles on an uneven floor.
- A large desk won't go through the bedroom door once assembled.
What the team does
The technician checks the parts and assembles the frame first, then the top, so the legs end up square. Drawers are fitted and their runners aligned. For an electric standing desk, the leg columns, motor cables and control box are connected, cables are tidied under the top, and the desk is run through its full height range. Feet are adjusted for an uneven floor and the desk is checked for wobble at working height.
