Bathroom Accessories Installation
Grab Bar Installation in Singapore
Grab bar installation starts from $60 per bar at SG QuickFix. Grab bars beside the toilet, in the shower and near the bathroom door are fixed into solid wall with anchors that can take a person's full weight. Eligible HDB households with elderly family members can apply for subsidised grab bars under HDB's EASE programme, so check that first.

Task guide
When this may be needed
- An elderly parent struggles to stand up from the toilet.
- The shower floor is slippery and there is nothing to hold.
- Someone is recovering from surgery or a fall.
- A towel rail is being used as a grab bar, which it isn't built for.
- You are not eligible for EASE, or need bars in extra places.
What the team does
The technician agrees the positions with you and the user: beside the toilet to push up from, in the shower to hold while stepping in and standing, and near the door where the floor is wet. Heights are set to suit the user. The wall is checked to be solid, holes are drilled through the tiles slowly and kept away from pipe runs, and the bar is fixed with anchors rated for a person's weight. Each bar is pull-tested by hand and the holes are sealed.
Included in this price
- Agreeing positions and heights with the user
- Checking the wall is solid
- Slow tile drilling and heavy-duty anchoring
- Pull-testing each bar and sealing the holes
Limits & price factors
The grab bars are not included unless agreed. Bars on hollow walls or panels that can't take the load are not fitted; another position is recommended instead.
The price is per bar, from $60. Long or angled bars, folding bars and marble or natural-stone walls take longer.
