Task guide
When this may be needed
- An MCB or the RCCB trips even with every appliance unplugged.
- Several sockets in one room stopped working at once.
- A circuit trips during heavy rain.
- A burning smell came from a wall before the trip.
- A circuit was damaged by drilling during renovation.
What the team does
The technician identifies the affected circuit at the distribution board, isolates it, and tests its insulation and continuity. Each socket, switch and joint box on the circuit is opened and checked in turn, narrowing the fault down to one point or one cable section. Loose or burnt connections found are repaired. If the fault is in a concealed cable, you are told where it is and given a repair quote.
Included in this price
