When this may be needed

What the team does

The technician isolates the circuit, removes the old switch and checks the connections. The new switch is connected so it breaks the live wire, which leaves the light fitting dead when switched off, and fixed level to the box. Multi-gang plates are wired gang by gang to control the same lights as before. Each switch is tested.
