Ceiling Fan Installation & Repair

High Ceiling Fan Installation in Singapore

Ceiling fans on high ceilings are quoted after inspection at SG QuickFix. Double-height living rooms, stairwells and landed homes with tall ceilings need a longer downrod, taller access equipment and often two people to lift and hang the fan safely. The quote covers the access, the mount and the installation.

Task guide

When this may be needed

  • A double-height living room in a landed home or penthouse.
  • A fan over a stairwell or void.
  • The existing high fan wobbles because its downrod is too long or loose.
  • A high fan needs replacing and no one can reach it safely.
  • The ceiling is sloped.

What the team does

The technician assesses the ceiling height, the floor below (such as stairs or a void), and the mount. Access equipment suited to the height is planned. The mount is fixed into the slab, a downrod of the right length is chosen so the blades sit at a useful height, and for sloped ceilings an angled mount is used. The fan is lifted, hung, wired, balanced and tested.

Included in this price

  • An inspection of the height, floor and mount
  • Planning safe access
  • Choosing the downrod and mount
  • Hanging, wiring, balancing and testing

Limits & price factors

The fan and downrod are not included unless agreed. Scaffolding hire, if needed, is quoted separately.

The quote depends on the ceiling height, the floor below, whether scaffolding is needed and the fan's weight. Stairwells and voids cost more than flat floors.
